During my extended stay in Winnipeg, I was also privileged to assist my son with his virtual homeschooling. The homeschooling experience sparked my imagination. The platform I used
allowed me to interact with him as if I were sitting right next to him for 4 hours a day. This spark led to the creation of the 3 part Virtual Tutoring 2.0 instructional. Virtual Tutoring 2.0 covers the installation and basic configuration of digital communication applications. Digital communication tools will change our narrow definition of the term education in the 21 century.

I am currently working on my MA in Education. The focus of this degree is on adult training. Globalization has set the stage for an emerging new economy. I refer to this new economy as a knowledge economy. The jobs currently in demand are different from the demand that existed 10 years ago. Individuals are finding it necessary to continue educating themselves in order to keep up with the changes in technology and communications. The baby boomer generation is retiring, so adult trainers will have to meet an increase demand for continual education. Non formal education has powerful tools such as Facebook, Myspace and Twitter. My recent stay in Winnipeg, MB was a great learning experience. I captured interesting video footage and tried to experience everything this Canadian city had to offer for 7 months.
